1. According to our group, printed books are still relevant as a source used in improving the ability to master the concept because the book is a print media that includes contentporer but still many who use it as a source of learning. When viewed from its usefulness, e-books and printed books are sources of learning that have an equivalent level. Then in terms of ease and access speed, e-book is easier. but not all effective learning processes in the presence of e-books. As the argument stated in the article in Table 7 shows that 68% of university students read one book in a week. This ratio is the highest amongst the students in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences with a ratio of 78%. It states that the book is still widely used and proves that the book is still relevant. Seen in quote page 3 of the article that Another study (Annand, 2008) probing into the preference of e-books over printed resources and its effects on learning (N = 109) has unraveled that students generally prefer printed materials. But with the book, from the contemporary era until now can still improve the students' ability, because not necessarily that there is in the book also exist in e-book. When viewed from our group's experience, the book is easier to understand the language than the ebook so the book can be easily understood and it can improve students' understanding.

2. We are from the fourth group conclude that after reading some references stating that the book is still more dominating than the e-book. Because textbooks have more benefits than e-books, this is stated in the following few articles entitled "PRINTED BOOKS VERSUS E-BOOK FORMATS: A STUDY USING NICHE GRATIFICATION THEORY by CHRISTI COWAN" which states that ownership and use of digital readers is Reliable low, as is book reading on tablets. According to information from the Pew Research Center, 18% of Americans own an e-reader, and 25% own a tablet device (Brenner, 2012). The results of this study indicate slightly higher numbers, possibly due to the age or economic status of respondents.
The second article entitled "PRINTED BOOKS VERSUS DIGITAL BOOKS by MIKAYLA NICOLE BYARS June, 2015" which states that the price is definitely a factor when people choose e-books over printed books, as e-books can at time be more cost effective than purchasing a printed book. 66.7% of people agreed that the cost is a definitive factor in the influence of buying an e-book over a printed book. (83.1%) agreed that the price was not a factor. This can conclude that people who choose to read printed books on e-books are more loyal in choosing printed books, while readers that choose e-books can be easily persuaded between the two based on price.

We are from the third group consist of 6 people:
Ananda Rahmadana PBI 3(20400115044)

Deswati Maharani PBI 3(20400115058)

Meldayanti PBI 4 (20400115070)
Yuliana Ibrahim PBI 4 (20400115077)

Our answer:
1. Yes, still relevant. In that article/pdf mentioned “Another study (Annand, 2008) probing into the preference of e-books over printed resources and its effect on learning (N=109) has unraveled that students generally prefer printed materials and as regards learning there is no significant differences between two formats”. Because some of the students rely on their interest in the material, if students interest the material, they will be easy to understand. But if textbook just to be the only one learning resource in this subject, it could not be effective for students. Therefore we need another learning resource to increase the students’ concept mastery like e-book (pdf).
2. Actually there are many types of printed materials but we choose printed articles and handout for the best resources.
- Printed articles can illustrate the experience of events of persons or places other than that articles are also directed to present views, balanced arguments, comparing and exaggerating views, providing decent information, offering suggestions, and making recommendations (One stop English in Yaumi: 2018). It preferred to help students in finishing their task because it students’ belong.
- Handout. The content of it is more specific and can facilitate students to learn more. In handout also contain the task that can be finished by students. handout as a paper based resource used to support teaching and learning which can free students from excessive note taking or supplement information not easily available elsewhere (WMIN in Yaumi 2018).

Thank you:)

1. Yes, textbook still relevant in our subject because book is a specially designed learning guide in accordance with the subjects or courses that contain the content that must be learned in a certain period so that we cannot escape from the use of textbook as the main study guide to obtain information other than that to support the improvement of student learning quality can be used media others as additional media in accessing information such as e-books. E-book is also a learning medium that is easily accessible by anyone via the internet this is supported by the statement contained in the journal E-Book versus Printed Materials: Preferences of University Students which states that “The fact that students deem easy access of e-book as its biggest advantage is also supportive of the prevalence of e-book format research books. It can further be asserted that the fact that course materials are more accessible in electronic environment is also an influential factor. Shelburne’s research in 2009 has similarly echoed the finding that students deem easy access of e-book as its greatest advantage”.

2. The best types of books or printed materials to be the best resources of our subject is article. Article is a form of nonfiction writing in which there are facts as well as data and accompanied by analysis and opinions of the authors. This is supported by one of the opinions of Webter's collegiate thesaurus article can take the form of essays, critics, notes, reports, surveys, lessons or notes.

i will answer the question of Ananda Rahmadana,
Actually, we have mantioned the benefit of textbook in number two but sorry we did not explain that. textbook is more desirable because can use by all circles from kids to old people. it is mentioned in an article entitled "PRINTED BOOKS VERSUS E-BOOK FORMATS: A STUDY OF USING NICHE GRATIFICATION THEORY by CHRISTI COWAN" which states that ownership and use of digital readers is Relatively low, as is book reading on tablets. According to information from the Pew Research Center, 18% of Americans own an e-reader, and 25% own a tablet device (Brenner, 2012). The results of this study indicate slightly higher numbers, possibly due to the age or economic status of respondents. beside that I have read from the article that e-book from healthy side, it is not good from eyes, so we conclude that e-book is not suitable for all circles.

1. According to our group, printed material is still relevant today because most teachers use printed materials as the main source of delivering the material to learners easily, in addition to printed materials are also good used as a reference because the data source has proven accurate for the teacher, compared with articles that can be obtained easily but the accuracy of the data is not very accurate. However, to provide a wider reading or reference scope, e-books or journals provide information more widely and more easily accessible to us let alone in modern times today.
2. Other types of printed materials that can be used as learning resources are module and handout. Module is one of learning materials that can be used by students independently, students can be responsible for their own learning activities, learning with module highly appreciate individual differences, so that students can learn in accordance with the level of ability, then the more effective and efficient learning. The module serves as an intermediary between the educator and the learner. Module are designed to reduce the explanation of educators, and even replace the presence of educators so that the learning process can still take place. In addition, the module is very practical because it can be used anytime and anywhere in accordance with the needs of students.
Other printed materials that can be used as learning resources are handout. Handout can be very economical and practical print materials. It is said to be economical and practical because the handout generally contain only a summary or conclusion or parts of the material that are important so that learners can immediately know the basics and important points on the material being learned by using handout. Handout that contain important points of the subject matter being studied are used if not necessarily will create confusion in students in learning a material.

i will answer the question from Salmawati
when we read the textbook in the dark or lying in bad it is not accidental but deliberate, so in my opinion it is not a weakness of the textbook because it depends on the reader. whereas when we read the e-book then we can not avoid tired of dealing with computer screen or android.

Thanks for the question Aldrianti, well i will answer the question
The benefits of an article that is one of the best sources that can be used as a source of information is described in the book "Media & Learning Technology (Dr. Muhammad Yaumi) page 121 i.e one stop English (2015) declare the object of article review can describe the experience, events, people or place, and the article is also directed to present a balanced view, argument, compare and contrast views, provide appropriate information, offer suggestions and make recommendations.
Articles are scientific papers constructed from research and studies to be published through scientific journals and magazines. These scientific papers such as papers, journals, and manuscripts. so the advantages of this article is accessible through print and online.

1. Reading the textbook at this time may be rarely we meet in public places, because there is a more practical reading media again, that is the use of e-book that can be accessed via mobile phone by using internet network. But apart from the increasingly sophisticated technology, some researchers have conducted research in connection with the use of textbooks and e-books in finding out new information or understand a reading of what he has read. It turns out from the researcher's findings, he presents in table 3 and 4 that there are still many students who prefer textbooks to read than e-books with a variety of reasons. And in that study, researchers also obtained significant results in the public areas that still use textbooks as their reading material. Textbooks make them focus when reading, so their concentration is more awake, while the use of e-books in mobile phones can reduce the level of reader concentration when reading. This happens because sometimes there are several notifications in different applications that make them not focus on the reading they are reading. Therefore, the use of textbooks still has a place in the general public because it is evident from the results of research that has been described.

2. There are many factors to consider when discussing the matter of ebooks vs. printed books, but ultimately, it boils down to the reader’s preference. Avid fans of printed books claim that there’s still nothing like the smell of paper and the rustle of the pages as the reader flips gently through the book with their fingers. There’s something intimately rustic about the entire experience, they claim, and it’s one that cannot be derived from the cold, electronic ebook version.
On the other hand, those who prefer the ebook often say that the device takes a whole lot of weight from their shoulders – literally. Packing for trips is bad enough as it is, but it becomes doubly so when confronted with the task of choosing which book to bring. With the ebook, however, a reader can take hundreds of books with them on the journey, and only take up a few square inches in their carry-on bag.
So, we can suggest, the best book for being our source material is "Tekhnologi Pembelajaran" by Prof. Soekartawi, Brawijaya University. The book guides us to be more understand about the technology. The book is easy to obtain and also easy to understand the contents of the reading. In addition, we also need to often read the journal so that we can follow the technology that is developing at this time. Often mambaca articles also be a good thing for us to increase knowledge.

Thank you😊

1. According to our group the use of textbook is still very relevant to the learning, although the e-book is also very easily access in modern era like now but textbook is still very necessary as a source of reading for now, especially when want to make a thesis. The most preferred source is the textbook. And as stated by previous researchers Annand, (2008) and Woody, Daniel, & Baker, (2010) contained in the article concluded that students prefer and select textbooks compared with e-books because there is no significant difference between the two.
2. After we read a book from media & learning technology from Dr. Muhammad Yaumi, we conclude that there are many kinds of printed materials, but we choose: handouts and articles.
a) Handout, because it is a teaching material that contains concepts, brief descriptions, overviews, rules, working procedures, or application of formulas, and examples of practical calculations that are distributed free of charge to learners. So, we can conclude with handouts students can easy to learn.
b) Articles, but the article referred to here is an academic article written by researchers based on the results of his research in the form of articles containing research titles, abstracts are equipped with keywords, introduction, methods used in research, results, and discussion of the results of his research , and then conclusions. So learners are easy to know.

Thank you

Well, am zulkifli from pbi 3 (20400115041). It seems that there is a missunderstanding on u. As we know that we are now obligated to find references on text books and ebook (article) on eternal journal if we want to submit our thesis title. It means that we need references on text book and article in writing our thesis.

But it seems on your state that we only need textbook in order to write our thesis.

My Name is Ary Putra Utama Akmas (PBI 4 20400115067)
In my opinion based on the research of E-book versus printed materials preferences of university students for reading textbook to increase students' concept mastery. The fact that students judge easy e-book access as the greatest advantage and supports e-book format research books. More can be emphasized the fact that the material is more accessible in the electronic environment is also an influential factor. The use of books and e-books depends on the environment and their needs. But today most textbook authors must have e-books as their electronic reference.

For the second question choose the right sources for the research can be challenging. A variety of options are available, including books, journals/articles and websites. Based on CQ University Library i takes books and journals/articles:
a. Books contain authoritative information and this can include comprehensive accounts of research or scholarship, historical data, overviews, experts' views on themes/topics. Use a book when you require background information and related research on a topic, when you want to add depth to a research topic or put your topic in context with other important issues.
b. The articles found in many scholarly journals go through a "peer-review" process. In other words, the articles are checked by academics and other experts. The information is therefore reliable. As well as containing scholarly information, journal articles can include reports and/or reviews of current research and topic-specific information. Use scholarly journals when you need original research on a topic; articles and essays written by scholars or subject experts, factual documented information to reinforce a position or references lists that point you to other relevant research. Scholarly journals take less time to publish than books, but the peer-review process can be lengthy.

In my opinion that are the best resources

Excusme, we never said that we only need textbooks in order to write a thesis, we said that it is necessary to use text books as references to our thesis, the word NECESSARY does not refer that we do not need article or ebook as references. hello, this time i will answer the question from raihani awalia.
Why book is better than e-book:
Browsing a book store or library is a way better experience than browsing any online equivalent.

It’s easy in a print book to flip to the index, or some other page, and back to the page you were reading. In digital books you leave your spot at your peril. It’s very easy to get lost.

When you do lose your place in a print book, it’s far easier to find it again than it is in a digital book.

If you want to review a book, or blog about it, it’s so much easier to highlight things, attach a sticky note, scribble in the margins, etc., and it’s very easy to find those notes later. The disadvantage, of course, is that you then have to type them.

It’s much easier to quickly find what you want in a print book — especially something like a dictionary.

i think that's all that i can answer.
thanks.
